We were basically handed a photo (not a very clear one) and asked to recreate it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I think we did an exceptional job at doing so.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The whole cake is covered in fondant with a total of 88 handmade fondant flowers on the 2nd and bottom tier with silver bead in the center of each one.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The top and 3rd tier have piped on flowers spaced out with small fondant florets placed randomly with a cream ribbon at the base of each tier.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Delivered to the Santa Clara Marriott for 175 people.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;~Joe&lt;/p&gt;</content>

That tie is totally made to scale.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;7" x 7" White cake with strawberries, mangoes, and grand marnier whipped cream filling.  Made extra tall to hold Ken's 7" of leggy wonder.  Covered in red buttercream with green (lime green) pink (bright pink) and yellow (golden yellow) fondant stripes on the sides and red fondant "bursts" surrounding Ken.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;~Joe&lt;/p&gt;</content>

The tomatoes, green peppers and mushrooms were all made out of fondant and hand painted to look like their respective vegetable counterparts.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The crust is some rolled fondant.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;~Joe&lt;/p&gt;</content>

Pretty simple and standard as far as our princess cakes go.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you dont know already:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Princess Cake: vanilla or chocolate genoise filled with seedless raspberry preserves and Chantilly cream (Amaretto whipped cream) and frosted with Amaretto whipped cream, Amaretto buttercream or vanilla buttercream&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Of you can look in my profile to see all the other flavor descriptions, if that's your cup of tea.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I do believe these are vanilla genoise princess cakes with tea green, raspberry punch red (?) and golden yellow marzipan covering.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;~Joe&lt;/p&gt;</content>

    <title>And Im Back again</title>

    <content type="html">Actually I've been back since Saturday evening, but I've been recovering.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, Im doing well.  Peru was amazingly fantastic I cant even begin to explain, but I'll try after I finish sorting through photos.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And I took a lot of photos, around 1500 of em.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It's good to be back and in my own bed. It's actually been quite a hectic and trying month for me (I havent been in town once on any of the weekends, so I have had to bust my ass and finish everything during the week then take off), so I haven't been able to work on this blog as much as I would like. They grow up so fast though.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;9" White cake with vanilla soaking solution and hazelnut buttercream with ground hazelnuts and hazelnut paste (they like hazelnut apparently) and chocolate mousse filling.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pink buttercream frosting with fondant drawing of stork holding a baby bundle.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;~Joe&lt;/p&gt;</content>
