So funny story about this cake.  Originally the florist was supposed to leave me small roses to put around the top of the cake topper.  But when I got there all that was left for me were those large ones you see in the photo.  The event coordinator who helped me place the cake handed them to me, gave me a "I dont know" look and said "good luck"  But this is what I ended up with.  I think it was the right choice to change the design rather than stick with the original one.

I love this one. It's kind of old-fashioned but still crisp. Very classic.

Who usually supplies the cake stands when you make/deliver a wedding cake? This one appears to be very ornate silver platter.

This particular cake stand was supplied by the reception site.

We have two cake stands (or plateaus) that one could rent from us, otherwise it is up to the discretion of the coordinator.

I love square and circle cakes. They just make me super happy.

I also think you made the right choice. It looks very elegant, and I'm sure the couple was very happy with how i looked!

I agree-putting such large roses on the top of this cake would overwhelm it, but putting them on each corner keeps the cake looking balanced.

When you put flowers on a cake do you just stick the stems in the frosting?

Do you have to use special flowers, like organic or with no pesticides?

It's lovely! All your cakes are!

Does anyone know where they got that cake topper? It's my favorite!
