This cake was made too mimic the design aspects of the invitation to Sarah's 30th Birthday Party.

It's an 11" Chocolate Raspberry Mousse Torte with vanilla buttercream and bright pink polka dots with smaller lime green polka dots made out of fondant.

  • Oh I love this! The colors are so Spring-y! :)
  • I have that birthday coming up in a few months. I'd venture to say no one will throw me a party with a cool cake like that! :(
  • could I ask please, how you get your buttercream so smooth? I'm making a wedding cake this summer for my friends and I'd way rather use buttercream than fondant, but I've trouble getting it smooth enough in the past, especially around the corners.
your help would be very much appreciated!
    ps. you are amazing.
  • Oh man I love those colors together!!
  • I'm impressed that the circles are so evenly spaced around the perimeter! :) How do you do that?
  • yayyy spots yay pink
  • ...my name...least favorite color (pink)...I'm so torn.

Change the pink to purple and we'd be in business! I do love the design here.

And it should be "to mimic," not "too." /grammarnazi
  • Love the colors used on this one!
