For some reason this cake reminds me of those video game markers that tell you which way to go. You know, it's usually a big arrow at the top middle of the screen showing you where the next checkpoint is.

Only this one is for finding a certain French tower.

Ah, France, I was willing to just run away and get lost there and never look back. Once and long ago.

Anyway, this is an 11" Chocolate Strawberry Fraisier with chocolate ganache.

Eiffel tower is piped on a triangular piece of fondant.

  • I love it so very very much! I want a cake like this!
  • I love the simplicity of the rest of the cake aside from the awesome looking tower. Do you happen to know what the occasion was that required this cake?
    • Unfortunately I dont, sorry.

Let's pretend it's a congratulations, you conquered France cake.

      ~Kiyoshi
  • I'm STILL willing to run away there and never look back. This cake is perfect, flavour, style, everything.
  • I ran away to France three months ago and I am living in Paris, in a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower.
The bakeries here really are amazinnnnggg.

This cake just made me gush with pride and hunger.

    Kudos, Joe, Kudos...

I was wondering, do you guys by any chance make chouquettes or macarons or tartes fines?

If I return to the U.S. and have to satisfy my pastry cravings with Dunkin' Donuts, I might just break down and cry.
    • We used to do macarons but not anymore. And while we dont make thin tarts, we do make small tarts. =P

You must live on the East coast when not in Paris.

      ~Joe
      • Right on. New Jersey= not the best place to find french pastries or non-dougnut pastries in general.

That and the fact that every person i've met form the west coast the past 6 months has said "really, you live on the east coast? you really come off as a west coast kind of girl....", I am planning on spending some time over there this summer. Wish me luck!
        • Well, Dunkin Doughnuts is kind of an east coast thing I think.

What part of the west coast will you be at?

          ~Joe
  • I want this cake, and then I want to run away to Paris again.
  • I think that's one of the yummiest things I've ever seen. O_O
