Three princess cakes. Pretty simple and standard as far as our princess cakes go.

If you dont know already:

Princess Cake: vanilla or chocolate genoise filled with seedless raspberry preserves and Chantilly cream (Amaretto whipped cream) and frosted with Amaretto whipped cream, Amaretto buttercream or vanilla buttercream

Of you can look in my profile to see all the other flavor descriptions, if that's your cup of tea.

I do believe these are vanilla genoise princess cakes with tea green, raspberry punch red (?) and golden yellow marzipan covering.

  • They look like little hats sitting on the doilies like that. ^_^ They're adorable.
  • Edible hats...LOVE IT!
  • Just marzipan? No fondant?
  • Oh I can so picture them at a bridal tea!
  • omg marzipan. i could eat that stuff forever.
  • Those sound amazing! Is that a general name for that kind of pastry/cake? Cuz I live in Oregon, so coming to your bakery would be... difficult. Would a local bakery know what Princess Cakes meant?
    • yepyep. i think "princess cake" is a pretty standard name for that particular combination of ingredients.
  • Those are such adorable cakes!
  • OMG, those sound delicious...
  • those are seriously cute :-D

  • I have a serious princess cake addiction!
  • Thos sound extraordinary. Feel free to drop a few off at my door!
  • hehe i know they're supposed to be hats, but the top parts look like japanese mochi!

  • They are so cute. I love them!
  • Oooh. They look like mochi's wrapped with ribbons.
  • I don't know why, but I love these! If you have any extra, my husband works in Los Gatos, you can just leave them with him, ;)
    • Well you can always order one =P

      • Ha! I'm not driving down there, and the only store he goes to on his lunch hour is Whole Foods. He is a Sugar=Poison kick right now. So all I can do is drool over your pictures. ;)
  • Oh, they look really sweet! But being swedish I can't quite agree with the filling for a princess cake, but I'm sure they taste lovely!
  • These are so cute! I love how the lace and ribbon are used to make them look like hats. I bet they're also delicious.
  • they look like easter hats. :)
  • so cheery :)
  • I've seen a few pictures of other princess cakes, but *these* are *by far* the prettiest I've seen! Very very nice!
